9th President of Turkey Süleyman DEMIREL: “The Most Important Issue of the World is Poverty”
The first of the “Business Class” meeting series of 2008 was held at Ceylan InterContinental Hotel. In the meeting chaired by Dr. Tevfik Altýnok, our guest speaker, 9th President of theTurkish Republic Süleyman Demirel, gave a speech entitled “The World and Turkey at the Threshold of 2008”. In addition to the the prominent names of the business world, the rectors of Istanbul Technical Univesity, Koc University, Maltepe University, Yeditepe University, Halic University and Istanbul Arel University attended the meeting. A total of 105 participants including the graduate students from Galatasaray, Istanbul, Marmara, Yildiz Technical, Maltepe, Kadir Has and Istanbul Commerce Universities were present at the meeting. 106 on-line participants from various cities in Turkey and from 5 different countries followed the live broadcast interactively using the “Virtual Class System” provided by our main sponsor Element Education Technologies. The Founder President of TRNC Rauf DENKTAS also participated in our February meeting.
